12.02.2025 | Winter Barbecue at Dolezych: A Community Gathering to Start the Year

In 2025, we did not miss the opportunity to start the year with a special event. In January, we hosted our winter barbecue for all employees on the Dolezych company premises in Dortmund. Despite the freezing temperatures, the atmosphere was anything but cold—that much is certain.

Thanks to the dedicated preparation of our colleagues, the location shone in a wintry glow. Decorated with snowflake garlands and appealing table decorations, all employees immediately found themselves in a "Winter Wonderland." To ensure it didn’t get too cold, heaters were placed all around, providing a pleasant warmth and inviting everyone to gather. But it wasn’t just the decorations that created a sociable atmosphere. Mulled wine and hot cocoa, potato pancakes and kale, as well as fitting music from our DJ, all contributed to a cheerful mood.

Back to the beginning of the evening: Our CEO, Tim Dolezych, opened our winter barbecue with a welcoming speech, which impressively reminded us that solidarity and collegiality are not only important values at Dolezych but are also deeply appreciated and embraced by all of us.

It wasn’t just the management’s speech that stirred emotions among the employees—shortly afterward, the focus shifted to BVB’s away game. Although the result wasn’t favorable for BVB fans, the DJ’s lively music quickly lifted the mood, ensuring that all winter barbecue attendees still had a great time.

We would like to thank all participants of the winter barbecue for their great spirits and dedication to Dolezych. We are already looking forward to our big summer party this year, which will be held under the theme of our 90th company anniversary.
