26.08.2024 | Dolezych's Honey Heroes: 112,000 Bees for the Dortmund Harbor
Amidst the industrial harbor, around 112,000 bees have found a new home on the Dolezych premises. Due to their rapid growth, we had to quickly add more bee boxes—a positive sign that the bees are thriving in their new environment. We're proud to contribute to biodiversity with this project, especially in light of the concerning decline in insect populations.
The decline in insect populations is a global issue with severe consequences for ecosystems. The drastic reduction impacts plant pollination and threatens food production. Insects are essential for pollination, natural pest control, and the decomposition of organic materials. Their loss could disrupt the natural balance and endanger human food security.
Our bees contribute not only to the pollination of surrounding plants but also symbolize our sustainability strategy and commitment to the environment. By establishing and maintaining beehives, we actively support biodiversity and take a stand against the decline in insect populations. The presence of bees on our premises aids in the pollination of numerous plants in the area, leading to a richer and more diverse flora and fauna.

Furthermore, we look forward to the delicious Dolezych honey, which will soon be harvested. This honey is not only a tasty byproduct of our efforts but also a sign that our bees are healthy and productive. The honey will undoubtedly be a special enrichment for our company and our employees.
We thank everyone who contributed to this successful project and look forward to continuing to actively promote biodiversity and make a positive impact on the environment.
Keep up to date with our activities and events by visiting our blog regularly. We look forward to many more shared experiences!
