Eyebolts & ring-nuts.
Eyebolts owe their name to the ring-shaped head at the top. The thread is located under the ring, which you can use to fasten the screw to components such as motors, switch cabinets or gearboxes. Eyebolts belong to the family of attachment-points. They are the connection between the load and lifting equipment (e.g. chain slings, lifting ropes and lifting slings) that is required when loads need to be lifted or moved. At Dolezych you can buy various eyebolts, for example standard eyebolts or rotating eyebolts.

Galvanized, standard, variable or rotatable: This is what makes Dolezych eyebolts so special
You can either buy eyebolts directly online or get advice on eyebolts for your area of application. Our eyebolts are characterized by various features:
Eyebolts galvanized to DIN 580 and ring-nuts galvanized to DIN 582
- Eyebolts DIN 580 and ring-nuts DIN 582
- Material C 15E (unalloyed case-hardened steel)
- Corrosion-protected by electrogalvanizing
Eyebolts standard (G 8)
- Grade 8
- The standard = most cost-effective
- Rigid, means
- Cannot be aligned in load direction
- Can no longer be rotated after installation
Eyebolts variable (G 8)
- Grade 8
- Ring-nut and eyebolt separate from each other
- Variable:
- For flexible load alignment during installation
- However, fixed after installation, i.e. no longer rotatable
Application:
- Align the eyebolt in the load direction
- Assembly is carried out using a suitable hexagon wrench; you can still leave the ring-nut aligned in the load direction
- Make sure that the eyebolt cannot rotate on its own axis after tightening
The eyebolt can therefore no longer be aligned after installation, but only during installation.
Eyebolts with wrench = adjustable in load direction (GK 10)
- Quality class 10
- With permanently adapted key
- Can be rotated after installation and can therefore be subsequently aligned in the load direction
- But: cannot be turned under load
Note: For single use, the key can be used for screwing in. If the eyebolt is to be permanently attached, the specified torque must be applied.
Application:
- Insert the wrench into the eyebolt
- Tighten the eyebolt until it is fully flush with the contact surface
- After tightening, remove the wrench from the eyebolt
- Check that the eyebolt rotates freely and correctly
- Turn the eyebolt in the load direction before tightening
Tighten, done!
DLR eyebolts with key: The DLR (= Dolezych Load Rings) is our new product range for lifting points and swivels. The DLR eyebolt with Dolezych marking can be rotated under load and has a permanently adapted key for assembly and disassembly.
Eyebolt RB with key: The eyebolt RB can be adjusted in the load direction and has a captive magnetic key. It can also be used in an increased temperature range up to 300°C without loss of load-bearing capacity.
Turnable eyebolts with wrench (GK 10)
- Grade 10
- With permanently adapted hexagon key
- Rotatable
- With ball bearing, therefore rotatable after assembly
- Can be aligned in load direction after installation or during attachment
- Continuous rotation under load is not permitted!
Note: For single use, the wrench can be used for screwing in. If the eyebolt is to be permanently attached, the specified torque must be applied.
Twister eyebolt with wrench: The Twister eyebolt with captive wrench has a ball bearing that enables rotation under load with one strand and 0° under vertical load. The eyebolt aligns itself around the screwed-in retaining screw in the direction of force.
Caution: The twister is only suitable for rotational movements in the axial tensile direction and is therefore only actually useful for 1 strand. In all other load directions, the eyebolt can always be used non-rotating.
When working with eyebolts: What you should bear in mind
- You should check your eyebolts for tightness and obvious damage (corrosion, deformation) before each use.
- The load capacity information on your eyebolts & eye nuts refers to the load at 0° (please still refer to the operating instructions and check this).
- Lateral tension is not permitted for eyebolts!
Eyebolt load capacities only apply if...
…the eyebolt has the same direction as the suspension hook.
…the load distribution is symmetrical. Load capacities for asymmetrical load distribution can be found in our operating instructions.
…the eyebolt is in full contact with the support surface.
…the blind holes are drilled deep enough for the bearing surface to rest on (in accordance with DIN 76-1).
…the thread depths are observed (please observe the operating instructions).
…if the forces introduced can be absorbed by the base material without deformation affecting safety.
Thread sizes for our eyebolts
In the Dolezych store you will find thread sizes from M6 to M48, depending on the type of eyebolt. Other thread sizes up to M100 and a load capacity of 40 t as well as hot-dip galvanized versions are available on request.
