A poorly secured load can lead to serious accidents and damage to goods. Lashing-straps are a popular tool for properly securing loads on trucks, vans, trailers or cars. This prevents your load from slipping, falling over or falling down during transportation. Lashing-straps therefore make your transportation safer.
Advantages of lashing-straps:
- Cost-effective load securing equipment
- Lightweight (therefore also easy to handle)
- Gentle on surfaces due to textile material
- High tensile forces
All Dolezych lashing-straps are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 12195. Many of our lashing-straps are even better than the minimum standard specifications. For example, they have higher pre-tensioning forces or a better elongation of e.g. 5%. Some lashing-straps from the heavy-duty lashing-straps range are made from particularly high-quality materials with higher strength and better abrasion properties.

Possible applications for lashing-straps
Truck lashing-straps can be used for various load securing methods:
Strapping
Strapping is a form of load unit formation. With strapping, you place the lashing-straps around the load and then tighten the webbing. For example, you can bundle several pipes into one load unit and then secure them by lashing them down, for example.
Both one-piece lashing-straps with a clamp lock and one-piece lashing-straps with a ratchet can be used for strapping.
Tie-down lashing
In the force-locking tie-down lashing method, the load to be secured is spanned with lashing equipment, pressed onto the loading surface and thus secured on all sides.
Direct lashing & diagonal lashing
Diagonal lashing is a variant of direct lashing. This method involves form-fit direct securing with lashing equipment in either a longitudinal or transverse direction. The lashing-straps work in pairs. If a vehicle has lateral stanchions, for example, it can be secured against load misalignment when braking or moving off by lashing diagonally in the longitudinal direction. Another variant of direct lashing, diagonal lashing, follows a similar principle. Here, the lashing-straps are tensioned diagonally at angles compared to diagonal lashing. In this way, a pair of lashing-straps is secured in both the longitudinal and transverse directions.

Important notes on the use of lashing-straps
You should bear this in mind when using lashing-straps:
- Lashing equipment must never be used for lifting loads, but only for lashing loads
- Lashing equipment must never be loaded beyond its permissible tensile force (LC)
- The pre-tensioning force must not exceed 50% of the permissible tensile force of the lashing-strap
- At least two lashing-straps are prescribed for a free-standing load
- Never use a lashing that is damaged or whose labeling is no longer present/legible
- For sharp-edged loads, lashing-straps should always be used with additional edge protectors or with a suitable protective sleeve
In the case of loads with sharp edges or rough surfaces, there is an immediate risk that the lashing-straps will be damaged and that the securing function cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, lashing-straps may only be used if the vulnerable areas of the webbing are protected. A sharp edge is present if the edge radius r is smaller than the belt thickness. Suitable edge protection sleeves or edge protectors can protect the webbing from sharp edges.
