Eye Hook OS DD – robust eye hook
The Eye Hook OS DD supports you reliably during demanding lifting and transport tasks. Its solid design ensures calm and secure handling, while the chain hook provides additional performance reserves for heavy load cases.
The Eye Hook OS DD combines a clear, functional geometry with strong load capacity. With its total length of 173 mm – measured from the hook base to the inner edge of the eye – it is ideal for larger attachment points or crane hooks in industrial environments. The 40 mm hook opening gives you enough space to position lifting chains, shackles, or other connecting elements cleanly.
The eye offers an internal width of 42 mm, enabling a wide range of connection options. The material – high‑strength Grade 8 steel in size 13 – provides long service life and reliable strength. With a load capacity of 5300 kg, the hook can lift heavy loads with confidence and be used in chain slings or complex lifting systems.
Manufacturing according to EN 1677‑2 and the H‑marking indicate compliance with the standard and simplify identification during ongoing operations. With a weight of 2.50 kg, the hook sits firmly in your hand without restricting usability. This makes it suitable for stationary lifting tasks, crane operations, or mobile transport applications.
Combined with professional lifting chains or shackle connections, you receive a versatile and durable system that reliably supports your daily work.

1 Intended Use
The product is an accessory for load attachment used in lifting equipment or static systems and may only:
• be used by authorised and instructed personnel.
• be used in compliance with the applicable regulations.
It is expressly prohibited to:
• modify the product,
• have the product repaired by unqualified personnel,
• use the product for the transportation of persons.
2 General Safety Instructions
When lifting loads with lifting accessories, persons beneath or alongside the load are exposed to particular risks. Residual risks remain when using lifting accessories. These include in particular:
• an insufficiently secure connection between the lifting accessory and the load,
• swinging loads during lifting, and
• falling loads.
The following instructions must be observed to ensure safe handling of the product.
• Observe the maximum lifting capacity. The product must never be loaded beyond its specified lifting capacity.
• Observe the permissible temperature ranges.
• Avoid contact with acids and alkalis.
• Hooks must be inspected for visible damage (corrosion, deformation) before use.
• Hooks showing signs of deformation must not be used.
• Load hooks only in the bowl of the hook. Hooks must not be loaded at the tip unless specifically designed for that purpose.
• Hooks must not be subjected to bending forces. To avoid bending stresses, hooks must not rest on edges.
• Avoid shock loading and sudden impacts.
• Do not place loads on the product if this could cause damage to the product.
• Never drag the load across the product.
• Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn during all operations.
• The level of risk associated with offshore applications, the lifting of persons, hazardous loads (e.g. molten metals) or similar hazards must be assessed by a competent person as part of a risk assessment
