The edge protectors of the DoLight PP series offer a robust and cost-effective solution to reliably protect sensitive cargo and lashing straps from damage. Made of polypropylene and designed for demanding transport operations, they impress with dimensional stability and durability. Especially when used with packaging materials, rolled goods, or general cargo, they ensure even force distribution and increase safety during tie-down lashing.
Advantages & Applications
- Protection of straps and edges: Prevents cuts and material damage, extends the service life of lashing equipment.
- Optimal force distribution: The hollow interior distributes tension forces over a large area and protects sensitive surfaces.
- Strong and lightweight: Robust despite low weight – ideal for mobile use.
- Temperature resistant: Usable up to +99 °C, cold-resistant in challenging environments.
- Compatible: Suitable for standard 50 mm lashing straps, versatile in use.
- Industry-oriented: Specifically designed for the packaging, paper, and logistics sectors.
- Enhanced lashing safety: Transmission factor k = 1.8 for reliable tie-down lashing.

Edge and Corner Protectors
Edge protectors are designed to protect lashing straps and the load during transport. To ensure safe use, the following instructions should be observed:
- Application and Compatibility
- Use edge protectors only for their intended purpose.
- Check compatibility with the lashing straps being used.
- Before Use
- Inspect the edge protector for visible damage, cracks or deformation. Damaged edge protectors must not be used.
- Ensure that the edge protector is securely positioned on the edge of the load and cannot slip during use.
- Correct Positioning
- The edge protector must completely cover the edge requiring protection.
- Ensure that the lashing strap passes correctly through the designated guide of the edge protector (e.g. threading slot).
- Use Under Different Conditions
- When used in extreme temperatures, humid environments or when exposed to chemicals, ensure that the selected edge protector is suitable for these conditions.
- Carry out a visual inspection before and after each use, particularly after intensive use or contact with aggressive substances.
- Storage
- Store edge protectors in a dry and clean environment, protected from UV radiation and extreme temperatures, to preserve the service life of the material.
- Do not store edge protectors under heavy loads or in a deformed condition.
