Dolex Edge Protection Plate – reliable edge protection

The Dolex edge protection plate ensures that your lashing straps last longer during transport. The edge protection shields straps from abrasion, sharp edges and wear, and you can apply it quickly in everyday work. With this PU edge protection, you safeguard sensitive strap material more effectively.

The Dolex edge protection plate is made of durable PU material with a long‑lasting structure. The plate protects the strap reliably at edges where friction occurs during transport. With its practical length of 300 mm and a width of 100 mm, you place it easily at the required position. The low thickness of 5 mm allows flexible use without adding bulk or causing restrictions.

The PU material does not absorb moisture and remains dimensionally stable — even with temperature changes or frequent use. You apply the edge protection plate wherever straps are repeatedly stressed or tensioned over rough surfaces. This extends the service life of your lashing straps and ensures even force distribution at the edge.

The plate is suitable for transport tasks in trades, construction, industry or private use. Once applied, the protection plate significantly reduces the risk of strap damage and improves load security. At the same time, the edge protection also shields the cargo from pressure marks or uneven load distribution.

Edge and Corner Protectors

Edge protectors are designed to protect lashing straps and the load during transport. To ensure safe use, the following instructions should be observed:

  1. Application and Compatibility
    • Use edge protectors only for their intended purpose.
    • Check compatibility with the lashing straps being used.
  2. Before Use
    • Inspect the edge protector for visible damage, cracks or deformation. Damaged edge protectors must not be used.
    • Ensure that the edge protector is securely positioned on the edge of the load and cannot slip during use.
  3. Correct Positioning
    • The edge protector must completely cover the edge requiring protection.
    • Ensure that the lashing strap passes correctly through the designated guide of the edge protector (e.g. threading slot).
  4. Use Under Different Conditions
    • When used in extreme temperatures, humid environments or when exposed to chemicals, ensure that the selected edge protector is suitable for these conditions.
    • Carry out a visual inspection before and after each use, particularly after intensive use or contact with aggressive substances.
  5. Storage
    • Store edge protectors in a dry and clean environment, protected from UV radiation and extreme temperatures, to preserve the service life of the material.
    • Do not store edge protectors under heavy loads or in a deformed condition.
