Dolezych Cordura® abraision-protection tubes with hook-and-loop fastener, 1.0 m

When friction at contact and bearing surfaces puts textile lifting equipment under strain, the Cordura® abraision-protection tubes protect the affected areas against abrasion and wear. The hook-and-loop fastener allows you to retrofit the 1.0 m long protection and replace it as needed. The particularly abrasion-resistant Cordura® helps extend the service life of the roundslings.

Benefits and applications

• Protection against abrasion: The woven Cordura® polyamide protects textile lifting equipment against abrasion at stressed contact surfaces and reduces wear-related stress in these areas.

• Can be retrofitted: Thanks to the hook-and-loop fastener, the protection can be fitted to an existing roundsling without having to pull a closed protective tube over the lifting equipment.

• Replaceable wear protection: The abrasion protection can be replaced as needed, helping to extend the service life of the protected roundsling.

• Suitable for specified roundslings: The version with a flat width of 150 mm is assigned to Dolezych HMPE roundslings with a WLL of 8–10 t in a single-leg configuration and PES roundslings with a WLL of 1–3 t in a single-leg configuration.

• Suitable dimensions: The inner widths of 50 and 62.5 mm and the flat width of 150 mm allow assignment to the intended roundsling size. It is essential that the protection does not constrict the roundsling under load.

• Short protection area: With a length of 1.0 m, you can use the abrasion protection specifically where the lifting equipment needs to be protected against friction and wear.

Important application note

The abraision-protection tubes are wear protection and not edge protection for sharp edges. During use, make sure that the roundsling is not constricted and that the hook-and-loop fastener is positioned outside the lifting area; product labels must not be covered. Regular visual inspection of the lifting equipment remains necessary even when abrasion protection is fitted.

This allows you to protect stressed areas of textile lifting equipment specifically against abrasion, provided that the size and application of the protective tube are suitable for the roundsling being used.
