Dolezych Cordura® abraision-protection tubes with Velcro-system, 1.0 m

When friction at contact and bearing surfaces puts textile lifting equipment under strain, the Cordura® abraison-protection tubes protect the affected areas against mechanical abrasion and wear. The Velcro-system allows you to retrofit the 1.0 m long protection and replace it as needed. The particularly abrasion-resistant Cordura® helps extend the service life of the roundslings.

Benefits and applications

• Protection against mechanical abrasion: The woven Cordura® polyamide protects textile lifting equipment at stressed contact surfaces and serves as a wear layer between the roundsling and the rough surface.

• Can be retrofitted: Thanks to the Velcro-system, the abrasion protection can be fitted to an existing roundsling without having to pull a closed protective tube over the lifting equipment.

• Replaceable wear protection: The abrasion protection can be replaced as needed, helping to extend the service life of the protected roundsling.

• Suitable for specified roundslings: The version with a flat width of 180 mm is assigned to Dolezych HMPE roundslings with a WLL of 12–15 t and PES roundslings with a WLL of 4 t in a single-leg configuration.

• Dimensions: With inner widths of 65 and 77.5 mm and a flat width of 180 mm, this version provides more space than the 150 mm version. It is essential that the protection does not constrict the roundsling under load.

• 1.0 m protection length: The length enables targeted protection of a one-meter area where the lifting equipment is exposed to friction and wear.

Important application note

The abraision-protection tubes are wear protection and not edge protection for sharp edges. Make sure that the roundsling is not constricted and that the legs do not cross or overlap; roundslings can expand on the load-bearing surface under load. The Velcro-system should be positioned outside the lifting area, product labels must not be covered, and regular visual inspection remains necessary.

This allows you to protect stressed areas of suitable textile lifting equipment specifically against mechanical abrasion and wear.
