Till, explained in two sentences: What is the DoMessPro?

The DoMessPro is a device that allows for quick and easy measurement of the pre-tensioning force in a 50 mm lashing strap. Users can quickly check the correct application of their lashing straps and, if necessary, document it.

Why was the DoMessPro developed?

We wanted a digital device that works simply, reliably shows the pre-tensioning force, and is still available at a relatively affordable price. In other words, a digital pre-tension force indicator for everyone – that was the users' requirement, and I'm proud that we succeeded in achieving it.

What are the main differences compared to the previous model DoMess3?

Compared to the DoMess3, the DoMessPro is no longer analog, but digital. This means that the display is now easily readable through a digital screen instead of a color scale. Instead of measuring the pre-tensioning force with a mechanical spring, a force sensor is used, allowing for a more detailed reading of the pre-tensioning force. Additionally, the hand lever of the DoMessPro can be operated with less effort, even at high strap tensions of over 1,000 daN, compared to its predecessor.

What sets the DoMessPro apart from other measurement systems on the market?

Unlike other measurement systems, the DoMessPro is currently the only system that can detect pre-tensioning forces up to 1.250 daN (Note: According to the standard, this is the maximum permissible pre-tensioning force (S_TF) for LC 2.500 daN straps). It also stands out due to its exceptionally simple and safe operation. During development, we focused on ease of use and the prevention of hazards, such as the recoil of hand levers due to high strap forces. This was achieved through the mechanical separation of the hand lever and deflection geometry. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that when it comes to digital measurement systems, comparable products from other suppliers are priced significantly higher.

What makes the DoMessPro the best choice for the user?

With the DoMessPro, you can check if the pre-tensioning force (S_TF) indicated on the label has actually been reached. Hard-to-reach ratchet levers or an unfavorable standard position may prevent you from applying the 50 kg assumed by the standard to the hand lever. The proof provided by the DoMessPro helps ensure safe operation. It can also confirm high S_TF values that exceed those indicated on the labels, which helps reduce the total number of straps needed. Additionally, you can leave the device mounted on the tensioned strap if the desired pre-tensioning force has not yet been reached and monitor how the pre-tensioning force increases in real-time. The device’s multifunction button further simplifies operation: it is used to "wake up" the device and to adjust the mode (LC 2.500 / LC 2.000 daN). This makes the application incredibly easy.
