What is the DoQuick anyway?

The DoQuick is the latest generation of ratchet load tensioners from Dolezych. It can be used in the same way as our DoRa ratchet load tensioner or standard ratchet load tensioners.

What makes the DoQuick special?

The DoQuick has two different ends. On one side is the patented swivel eyelet and on the other side is a spindle with a patented quick-release mechanism.

The quick-release mechanism:

• With the release ring, it is possible to pull out the spindle completely in less than a second using the quick-release mechanism. This saves time to get from the transport state (fully closed) to the application state (fully extended) in just one second!
• It is also possible to push the spindle in without activating the release ring when pre-tensioning the chain. In the subsequent tensioning process, you therefore apply force directly to the chain and do not ratchet into the void.
• In the release process, the mechanism can only be used as soon as there is no more tension in the chain. This is a safety feature to ensure that a chain that is still under tension can never be opened.
• You also save time in the tensioning process, as you can go from the application state (partially extended) back to the transport state (fully closed) in just one second.
• The swivel eyelet is a swivel-mounted eyelet. In both the unloaded and loaded state, the swivel eyelet can be rotated 360°, preventing the lashing chain from twisting.

How do I install the DoQuick in the chain?

Before the DoQuick is installed in the lashing system, the spindle can be fully extended using the release ring. To do this, the DoQuick must be held in both hands. One hand holds the DoQuick by the base body, the other hand pushes the release ring back in the direction of the lever.

To prevent unintentional twisting of the chain, the swivel eye must be on the long side of the lashing chain.

As soon as the DoQuick is hooked into the lashing system, the spindle can be pushed in by hand, which significantly shortens the ratcheting process. The pre-tensioning force is then applied using the particularly short ratchet lever.

How do I remove the DoQuick againt?

To dismantle the DoQuick, the spindle must be completely relieved using the ratchet lever. This process does not differ from standard ratchet load tensioner.

Why do you need a solution for twisted chains?

When tensioning with a ratchet load tensioner, a spindle is extended and retracted via the rotation of the spindle sleeve. This rotation is transferred to the lashing system or the lashing chain in the case of steel and textile chains. Among other things, this can lead to a kickback in the lever. In addition, the chain often wraps around the tensioner during the tensioning process, which is annoying and time-consuming. The DoQuick prevents the lashing chain from twisting with its specially developed and patented swivel eye. This also ensures that sufficient pre-tensioning force is achieved, as the manual force applied is not lost in the twisting of the chain.

Why can't I quickly unlock the DoQuick in the installed lashing system?

For safety reasons, it is not possible to operate the unlocking ring when installed. As soon as minimum pre-tensioning forces are applied to the spindle or the lashing system, the locking mechanism of the quick-release mechanism engages. This ensures that the DoQuick never unlocks unintentionally (see also operating instructions, point 5).

If you want to release the lashing chain, the quick-release mechanism cannot be used! The chain must be released to such an extent that there is no more tension in the system and the chain can be removed from the tensioner. The quick-release mechanism can only be used again once the chain has been released from the DoQuick.

What are the advantages of the DoQuick?

1. Thanks to the quick-release mechanism, you never have to waste time unscrewing the thread by hand again before the tensioning process, but can pull it out completely in less than a second (change from transport to application status and vice versa).
2. Pre-tightening is also very easy, as you can simply push the threaded rod into the tensioner.
3. Thanks to the new innovative anti-unscrewing device, threaded rods can never be overtightened again.
4. Thanks to the very short lever, the DoQuick can be used in a space-saving manner and stowed away when not in use.
5. The swivel eye prevents unintentional twisting of the lashing chain and thus ensures that the entire manual force is converted into pre-tensioning force.
