Band-slings.
Band-slings are subordinate to lifting slings and are used wherever loads need to be lifted. Compared to steel slings, they score points with their high load-bearing capacity and low dead weight. They are made of woven webbing and are laid and sewn endlessly. Dolezych band-slings are characterized by the highest quality and reliability. They offer numerous advantages, such as the protection of sensitive surfaces and the possibility of stowing them in the smallest of spaces. In addition, there is no risk of injury to the slinger or their hands due to crushing or jamming.

Dolezych band-slings: efficient lifting solutions
Dolezych reusable slings are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 1492-1 and are available in 1- to 2-ply versions. The load capacity is assigned by the color code (if manufactured according to the standard). The band-slings produced from the standard material PES have a safety factor of 7.
Advantages of Dolezych band-slings:
- Most cost-effective textile sling
- Easy handling when lacing
- Double: 2 strands are always used so that the load capacity can be doubled for this type of application
- Higher load-bearing capacities can be realized compared to loop or bow slings of the same width
The "pre-slung" method
The so-called "pre-slung" method is a method for transporting and storing "pre-slung" loads, i.e. when the lifting straps remain continuously looped around the load unit during a longer transport route.
- Additional safety: With this method, reusable lifting straps may only be loaded with 1.4 times the nominal load capacity specified on the label
- Re-use is only permitted if it is established that there are no defects that could impair safety (see DGUV Rule 100-500)
- According to the currently valid DIN EN 1492-1, the load-bearing capacity factor is 1:7, therefore the factor 1.4 applies - see also BGI 556 (2004 edition)
- The "Pre-slung" method may only be used with reusable lifting slings that comply with DIN EN 1492-1. Do not use disposable slings.
Incidentally, the "Pre-slung" method is essentially associated with textile slings. However, the "pre-slung" method can also be used with textile loop slings or wire rope slings. Chain slings are not suitable for this.
Dolezych disposable slings according to DIN 60005: reliable disposable slings
Disposable band-slings are also known colloquially as disposable webbing. Our band-slings produced in accordance with DIN 60005 (2018) are made from endlessly laid and sewn webbing. They have a safety factor of 5 and are for single use. This means that the disposable band-slings must be rendered unusable and disposed of at the end of the transport chain.
What applies according to DIN 60005?
- Safety factor of 5
- Minimum thickness of the webbing 0.8 mm
- Belt width < 100 mm
- There is no color code
- Orange label for clear identification
- The disposable lifting strap must be destroyed at the end of the transport chain
In practice, single-use or disposable lifting slings are available in a wide variety of designs, e.g. as endless slings or as loop slings in different colors.
Disposable ASG band-slings
Disposable ASG band-slings are mainly used in timber and prefabricated house construction. The slings made from "car seat belt webbing" are only attached once and then cut off.
